Community Planning

Members of the JGA team will meet with local established organizations and groups to define issues. A steering committee is formed to address concerns, vision, character, zoning, land use, housing and public facility needs.

Maps are provided to illustrate the existing conditions. The community is empowered by citizen support through the open expression of concerns, hopes and expectations. Planning is transformed from regulatory burden to opportunity.

As the community discovers who they are and what they want to become, themes and goals are developed and strategies are devised to establish accountability.

Facility Planning

A planning committee provides local knowledge and an overview of the project. If needed, inspections can

be done to determine physical deficiencies or safety concerns within the existing structure.

Meeting with all staff groups, we come to understand their concerns; then work with the committee

to find solutions. Forums or town meetings and workshops are arranged so that users can reach an agreement regarding the best use of available funds.

This process allows opportunity for consensus on behalf of everyone concerned. The final outcome is

provided in a recommendations report

Successful planning is facilitated through group and community participation. We take your dreams seriously and assist in launching your vision for the future. JGA employs a proven process to discover concerns, coordinate consensus and ensure continuity. Critical components of our method are active stakeholder participation and plan ownership.

Our job is to

provide a roadmap

for the realization

of a community vision.
